British Heart Foundation commissions second school mosaic
I am very grateful to the British Heart Foundation for commissioning a second mosaic at a high school in Hull. This time I will be working with children and parents at Endeavour High School to produce a mosaic exploring what a healthy heart means to them. All of the children will be invited to submit their design, from which one will be selected, to be turned into mosaic during a one day workshop in September.
It has been a busy week. I said a fond farewell to the lastest group of clients suffering from early memory loss participating in Mind's 'Hearts & Mind's project, during which we produced artwork which is mentally, physically, socially and educationally stimulating. This project supports carers and clients over the course of 10 weeks and encourages them to meet others and share experiences and sources of further help.
I have also spent two days at Huby Primary School in North Yorkshire creating a series of wildlife themed paving slabs for the wildlife garden area. Pictures to follow!
