Over 180 children contributed to this week’s mosaic at Bishopthorpe Infant School in York. The minibeast wall mosaic compliments the school’s wildlife garden opened earlier this year by the Archbishop Sentamu. Year 2 were particularly keen to see the mosaic completed before their transition to the junior school. Children drew their favourite minibeast; a selection was then sent to myself and I composed a complementary design.

Next week I am a little further from home in Middlestown Junior and Infant Primary School, Wakefield where we will be creating a mosaic of the school logo.
