I was really excited to be asked by Thirsk Town Council to make much needed repairs to their beautiful Millennium Green mosaic created by the community with Rural Arts in 1999 (some 8 years before I began to create mosaics!).

The mosaic suffered damages when vandals set fire to packaging on top of the mosaic some 6 years ago. The Northern Echo featured an article at the time

It has been hard work on hands and knees dodging the rain but the support from the community including those involved in creating the mosaic, and many many dog walkers and joggers has made it very worthwhile and was much appreciated.

Won't it be nice when we are creating new community celebratory art again!
